2020 was a chaotic year, filled with uncertainty and anguish. Almost one month into 2021, I have this deep and abiding presence of hope and promise. Thus, it is with hope and anticipation I look back on 2020 and express my appreciation for your faithfulness to the ministry and mission of HPCUMC/The Warehouse through your generosity. You have become agents of God’s light and love to countless individuals, families, and communities through your financial support. Because you gave:
• Our partnership with Rothenberg Preparatory Academy continues adapting to our new reality in creative ways.
• You gave over $27,000 for the purchase of Kroger gift cards, providing over 556 families a Thanksgiving meal.
• Our Preschool has been innovative in providing for our children with in-person education.
• The Director of family ministry continues to offer bi-monthly Chapel to our preschoolers, extending God’s love to the children in our care.
• Innovative Discipleship Pathways were created for our Children, Youth and Adults to grow deeper in relationship with God and one another.
• The rich tradition of our Music Ministry adapted in the face of COVID-19, providing quality music for worship, providing alternative ways to stay connected as a community.
• Over 4,000 meals were served (November – December) to children in surrounding communities, utilizing 143 volunteers.
• Participating in the Meals on Wheels inaugural “Bust a Crust” program over 1,740 pies were sold or donated; and over 11,800 meals were delivered to senior’s homes.
• The Simulcast/Live streaming of weekly worship, touches the lives of over 1,000 people weekly.
God has called each of us to be a light to the world! Thank you for letting your light shine in a year that had its fill of gloom; the fruit of your generosity is abundant. It is a joy to serve in ministry with you!
Through Christ,
Pastor Doug
