Hyde Park Community UMC will once again partner with Meals on Wheels of Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky for the annual Bust-a- Crust pie fundraiser. This event will culminate in pie deliveries and pickups right before Thanksgiving on November 24, 25, and 26. More information and ways to volunteer and support this fundraiser will be available soon.
About the Event
Hyde Park Community UMC is thrilled to host Meals on Wheels’ Bust a Crust! — a joyful, hands-on event that raises funds to support local seniors. Volunteers of all ages (4+) are invited to help pack and prepare pies just in time for Thanksgiving. Whether you come with family, friends, or your Sunday school group, it’s a fun way to serve together and make a meaningful impact!
Volunteer Opportunities
Choose from five service areas (shifts are 1.5–2 hours):
Pie Runners: Bring pies from the delivery truck to the packing teams.
Box Posse Team: Build pie boxes or unbox pies.
Pie Packers: Pack ready-made pies into boxes for delivery.
Bulk Pie Packers: Package large orders going to businesses and organizations.
Trash Haulers: Carry trash to the dumpsters and keep work areas clean.
Additional Details
Free childcare is available for children ages 3 and under (please sign up).

Order a Pie - Support a Senior
The Meals on Wheels annual Bust-a-Crust Thanksgiving pie fundraiser supports their mission to provide seniors with essential services. Together, we ensure everyone has a fulfilling holiday.
All proceeds from pie sales and sponsorships directly benefit the essential services we provide to seniors and older adults. By ordering a pie for $15 each, you help Meals on Wheels drive their mission to keep seniors healthy, fed and safe—during the holiday season and all year long!
The 2025 Bust-a-Crust fundraiser is presented by Sara Lee and features three of their favorite frozen pie flavors: pecan, apple and pumpkin 10-in. pies. Bust-a-Crust serves up an ideal way to combine philanthropy with showing your gratitude for your teams, clients and customers ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday!
