Whether you’re planning a large or intimate wedding ceremony, we desire to help you make the experience memorable and personal.

Plan Ahead

Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church is delighted to share with you in the joy of Christian marriage. We will attempt to make the planning and celebration of your wedding meaningful and memorable, as fitting for such a sacred occasion. All marriages at HPCUMC are based on the United Methodist Book of Worship’s service:  “A Service of Christian Marriage.”

Our church Sanctuary seats 450. Our chapel seats 90.

HPCUMC’s Sanctuary and Chapel are in high demand; advance reservations for the church, rehearsal time, dressing rooms, etc. are a must! Contact the wedding liaison at (513) 979-8196 or weddings@hpcumc.org to discuss space and clergy availability as well as other important arrangements. Please note: Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of fees.

Weddings are not scheduled between Palm Sunday and Easter, Thanksgiving weekend nor the weeks before and after Christmas.

Policies

Pricing

Deposit: A deposit of $975. is due before booking can be finalized. The deposit is divided into 2 separate checks ($850. sanctuary fee + $125. for initial wedding liaison communications.) The deposit is nonrefundable.

Final Payment:

The final payment is due two weeks before the ceremony. The final bill is divided into 3 separate checks. ($450. for the officiating minister + $125 for the final wedding liaison communications + $300. for music, $175. for the Wedding Assistant, and any (optional) additional fees.

Final Payment: The final payment is due two weeks before the ceremony. The final bill is divided into 3 separate checks. ($450. for the officiating minister + $125 for the final wedding liaison communications + $300. for music, $175. for the Wedding Assistant, and any (optional) additional fees.

Decoration rentals: ($15 for unity candle, $25 for set of 2 seven branch candelabras, $30 for aisle runner, and $4/aisle candelabra (we have 16 total).

Special Music Requests: $100. for having organist at rehearsal, $50. added for practice with each additional soloist beyond one, $150. to hire a soloist through HPCUMC.

We believe a marriage ceremony is a sacred occasion, and the music should be appropriate for a worship service, focusing attention on God. Please review our music policy and information here.
