How apropos that Youth Sunday and Super Bowl Sunday fall on the very same day. Little did we know when we scheduled this, 6 months ago, that the Bengals would be playing. The entire country is in awe of Joe Burrow and his ability to be so young and demonstrate such outstanding integrity. I feel the same way about the youth at HPCUMC. Just wait until you experience them leading our worship services this Sunday. They have planned and prepared a worship service that will truly inspire and move you. What a better way to start Super Bowl Sunday than to be praising our awesome God together with the future of our church. We hope to see you Sunday!
“I decided to be part of youth Sunday because ever since I got confirmed I have been very busy and haven’t been involved with church. I thought this would be a good way to start being involved again. I think people should come to youth Sunday because the youth who are involved are really the next generation for the church. Youth Sunday is a way that everyone can see who we are, and even some talents from some of the youth like singing or playing an instrument.” ~ Hannah McOwen, 9th grade
“I have loved getting to come in and learn new songs for worship!”
~Gillian Hunter, 10th grade
“I decided to be a part of Youth Sunday because I thought it’d be fun to put on a service with all of my friends… and it has been!! We have many fun songs, an interesting sermon, and so many youth involved. It’s wonderful to come together and help spread the word of God.” ~Jenna Calhoun, 12th grade
“I am excited about Youth Sunday because it gives me a chance to spread the good news of a loving and affirming God, something I never got to really do at my old church.” ~ Cat Riggs, 8th Grade
“I am so excited and honored to be apart of Youth Sunday because it’s such a talented group of individuals that has come together to present this amazing, yet non “traditional” service! We’ve worked hard and I’m so proud of how it has come together. I think it really proves how much we can do when we rally and our work means something to us!” ~Caroline Lovelace, 8th Grade
“I love being part of Youth Sunday because it lets me become more involved in the service than usual.” ~Luke Pease, 7th Grade
