It is said that we, the Body of Christ, are Jesus’ hands and feet on earth. Christ has risen, having conquered the power of sin and death. Colossians 3:1 tells us where He is now located. Jesus is, ‘seated at the right hand of God’ the Father in the Heavens. We have been given the Holy Spirit—God’s Divine nature: in presence, power, and personality, to live within us. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are no longer our own, we have been bought with the price of Jesus’ shed blood, and we are to glorify God in our bodies and our spirits because they belong to Him (1 Cor. 6:19-20)
We are Christ’s ambassadors—diplomatic representatives of the Kingdom of God. (2 Cor. 5:17) The LORD sends us on special missions to re-represent Him to the world, to teach His loving ways, and to reconcile individuals back to fellowship with God the Father. People don’t physically see Jesus anymore. It is OUR mouths, hands, arms, and feet that communicate God’s love, wisdom, and strength. Supernatural spiritual gifts like healing and prophecy display God’s glorious power. Naturally, our giving and service to those in need, show the Father’s grace and care. Whatever abilities, or material blessings you have been graced to receive, they are to be used for the Glory of God.
At The Warehouse Church, OTR, one of our grace endowments is the ministry of music. These days, it is rare for us to enter into a worship encounter together with Jesus that brings us into the fullness of His joy, (Psalm 16:11) and a time of refreshing in His presence.
