Three to four times per year the HPCUMC staff rolls up their sleeves to serve as a mission team.
On fifth Wednesdays of the calendar year, they step out in mission to assist some of our mission partners in the community.
In the past they have assembled blankets for Wesley Chapel Mission Center, and put together bags for Rothenberg students, who attend school in Over-the-Rhine, to encourage them during finals week. The staff also served lunch to the clients of the Center for Respite Care. The Center for Respite Care provides post-surgery care for people who are homeless and need a safe, sanitary place to recover from medical procedures.
Madisonville Education and Assistance Center (MEAC) serves individuals and families in need primarily in Fairfax, Madison Place, Madisonville, and Mariemont and surrounding communities. MEAC serves people who struggle with poverty and assists people who need help with filling out applications for public benefits for food and medical care. Additionally courses are offered in financial education so that progress toward self-sufficiency can be achieved,
This July the staff served Christ as volunteers for the literacy program at MEAC as well as assisting with projects including painting and restoring the donation bin, assembling a desk, and cleaning and moving furniture.
