Join us! Please join our entire church family on Saturday August 22nd in the church parking lot for food, fun and fellowship as we wind down summer with friends!
What is it? The purpose of this event is threefold: a fellowship opportunity for our entire church congregation in a fun family-friendly atmosphere, a chance to practice radical hospitality by inviting our neighbors to join a church wide celebration to showcase what HPCUMC is about, and to share information about our ministries with our church family and the community at large.
This event is FREE and we have a lot of fun activities in the works for kids and adults of all ages. There will be hot dogs & brats, drinks, music, games for all ages, crafts for all ages, blanket service project, bouncy houses for preschool ages kids, a fun game for tweens and youth, corn hole for all ages, church open house & tours and entertainment, scouting demonstrations and an ice cream sundae bar with all the toppings. This event is rain or shine (held in refectory in the event of bad weather).
Mark your calendar now! Our Welcome Center will be set up with tables highlighting our church ministry areas. So mark your calendars now for Saturday August 22nd and plan on stopping by for a few hours or the whole afternoon and catch up with old friends and make some new ones! Join us in praying for this event, that it might open some new doors for those in our community and for the weather to cooperate!
Can you help? Would you like to share your time and talents at this event? Do you have a corn hole set you could loan for the day? Would you like to serve as a greeter or tour guide? Are you a ministry leader and would like to display information about your area in our Welcome Center? Contact Mary Schap to learn more about how you can get involved at mschap@zoomtown.com or 513-919-7587.
On Sunday, August 16th, after church services we need volunteers to invite our immediate neighbors to join us for this event. Bring your walking shoes and spend 15-30 minutes as we pass out door hangers throughout the Hyde Park neighborhood. Maps and door hangers will be provided in the Welcome Center on Sunday, August 16th, so please consider helping if you are able.
