Beginning this Sunday, I invite you to embark with me on a new worship journey—our fall stewardship series entitled “Anchored in Faith.” In a world that often feels unpredictable and ever-shifting, we need something deeper to hold onto. Just as a ship relies on its anchor to remain steady amid storms, we, too, must stay anchored in what matters most—our faith in God.
Throughout this series, we’ll reflect on how our trust in God shapes every aspect of our lives, including how we manage the resources entrusted to us. Stewardship is not simply about financial giving—it’s about our whole life response to God’s generosity. Over the next few weeks, we’ll explore how being anchored in faith calls us to live with trust, gratitude, confidence, and hope in every area of our lives as faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
Our series begins this Sunday with a message titled “Anchored in Trust,” based on Proverbs 3:5–10. This familiar passage invites us to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” What a powerful reminder that faith is not just belief—it’s trust. It’s placing our full confidence in God’s wisdom, God’s timing, and God’s provision.
Verse 9 challenges us further: “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.” This isn’t about obligation; it’s about alignment. When we trust God with our whole hearts, we naturally begin to trust God with our time, our talents, and yes—even our treasure. Living generously flows from a deep assurance that God will provide, just as God always has.
My hope is that this worship series will not only strengthen our understanding of stewardship, but also deepen our spiritual anchor—our connection to the heart of God.
Whether you’ve been giving faithfully for years or are just beginning to think about what stewardship means, I encourage you to open your heart to what God might be calling you to in this season. We are not just individuals—we are a community of faith, anchored together by grace and called to be a blessing in the world.
Let’s set our anchors deep and prepare for a season of spiritual growth, generosity, and trust.
I’m so glad you’ve decided to join me on this journey.
Peace,
Pastor Kevin
