The Grace of
Les Misérables Study

Grace on Race St.

Grace on Race St. is a reimagined church space and a campus of Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church — a community that is inclusive, justice-minded, and committed to meeting people where they are. Rooted in the values of being curious, courageous, and connected, Grace on Race St. exists to be a hub for community, creativity, and compassion  in the heart of Cincinnati. We are passionate about creating brave spaces where people of all ages can deepen their faith through workshops, study, conversation, service, and gatherings that foster authentic community. Whether you’ve lived in Cincinnati your whole life or just arrived, there’s a place for you here. We’d love to connect with you and journey together as we grow in faith, creativity, and connection.

We’re excited to continue a new initiative of holding community studies at Grace on Race St. — open workshops, classes and conversations rooted in faith, justice, and belonging. We’ll be gathering at Grace on Race St. at 1310 Race St., right in the heart of Over-the-Rhine. These sessions are open to all — no matter your background, questions, or where you are on your journey. Our hope is to build something meaningful together — a space to learn, grow, wrestle, and be known.Come as you are. Let’s grow together.

The Grace of Les Misérables

at Grace on Race St

1310 Race St. in Over-the-Rhine

Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:00pm

June 4th - July 9th

Join us this summer for The Grace of Les Misérables, a six-week study diving deep into themes of grace, justice, poverty, revolution, love, and hope through the lens of Victor Hugo’s iconic novel. Whether you’ve read the 1,400-page classic, memorized the Broadway soundtrack, or simply enjoyed one of the many screen adaptations, this study will offer fresh insights into the powerful story and its connection to our faith today.

We’ll gather every Wednesday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Grace on Race St. (1310 Race St. in Over-the-Rhine), beginning June 4th and running through July 9th. The study will take place on the first floor in the café area — a relaxed, welcoming space. Feel free to bring your dinner with you if you haven’t had a chance to eat yet!

Each week will begin with a video from Rev. Matt Rawle to spark conversation and reflection. Together, we’ll explore how the imperfect, relatable characters of Les Misérables embody grace, love, and justice — and how their stories invite us to live with greater compassion, hope, and purpose in the world.

This study is open to everyone — from those who are curious and questioning to those seeking to grow deeper in their faith. Whether you can attend every session or just a few, each week stands on its own, and you’re welcome whenever you can join us.

To help us prepare to welcome everyone with hospitality, we invite you to fill out the interest form at link below and let us know if you’re interested. There’s no commitment required — feel free to drop in as you’re able! We’d just love to know who’s curious about joining us.

Bring a friend, and come be part of an evening of meaningful conversation, connection, and growth. We can’t wait to see you there!
