HABITAT FOR HUMANITY'S

Rock the Block: Covington

Saturday, April 20, 2023

8:00a - 3:00p

What is Rock the Block?

Habitat for Humanity’s Rock the Block is a fun one-day event that supports home preservation and the place-based investment goals of the communities where Habitat builds homes.

Each Rock the Block, Habitat works with the neighborhood stakeholders to identify projects and places of investment. Rock the Block brings together hundreds of volunteers to complete projects such as exterior home repairs, park maintenance, trash removal, landscaping painting, and more.

Who's Invited?

Everyone! Those ages 10 and older can serve with Habitat for Humanity’s Rock the Block and free childcare is provided for children ages 9 and under at Hyde Park Community UMC where they will have fun activities and a simple service project to complete themselves. There is a job for everyone!

It is our hope that we will have 40 people serving with Rock the Block making up 2 work crews of 20 people each. You will have the option to do landscaping work or exterior painting. No experience or tools are necessary! Each crew will serve under the guide of an experienced crew leader.

Where?

In the Covington neighborhood of Northern Kentucky. Kick off will begin at 8:00a with a light breakfast – at the Kenton County Government Building (1840 Simon Kenton Way, Covington, KY 41011).
