Baptism
Baptism is a covenant between God and each of us; God promises that we are adopted by grace, and we promise our response of faith and love. It is always a special occasion when infants, children, teens, or adults enters our faith community through baptism.
Baptisms are held at the 8:00, 9:30, or 11:00am Sunday worship services on select Sundays throughout the year.
Babies or others who can’t take vows for themselves are presented by parents and/or sponsors. Baptismal garments are optional.
The family must meet with the presiding minister for a pre-Baptism session to discuss the baptism and answer any questions you may have.
To schedule a baptism, contact the church office (513) 871-1345.
Funerals
Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church Pastoral Care staff, clergy and parish visitor, are available for help with end-of-life planning, and funeral and memorial service planning.
Although grief and suffering are universal, they are very personal and life-changing. We are available for both grief counseling and help in implementing Christian funerals, memorial services, and celebrations of lives.
